Join us for a nourishing traditional Tea Ceremony and Sound Alchemy journey activating heart and soul in connection with community.
This event takes place on Darug and Gundungarra land, and we acknowledge the spirit and culture that is alive in this place. We offer our respect to elders past, present and emerging, and to all Indigenous people.
Tea Ceremony is an ancient practice of tea drinking shared throughout Asia. It is a time for stillness, contemplation, reflection and gratitude, sharing in the beauty and simplicity of bowl tea. It's a seated ritual experience sharing union with each other and nature, and a mindfulness practice that stills time.
Sound Alchemy is a term Lindsey uses for the vocalisation and music offering she weaves together with Tea Ceremony. Based on the studies done on how sound impacts the body, Lindsey sings to activate the innate medicinal properties of Tea in your body for a unique and potent alchemical experience.
This is an inclusive, inter-generational, and intersectional event open to all people. Children who are able to actively participate in the ceremony are welcome, as are bubs in arms.
When: Sunday 26th May, 4-6pm
Where: Bright & Balanced Living, 3/22 Govetts Leap Road, Blackheath (upstairs)
